How to deal with big changes in your life

We have all gone through a major change in our life. It can be financial, academic, career, family, relationship ... the list is endless but one thing is certain, changes in life result in disruption. The question is how do we deal with these changes?
There are a couple of things we can do to deal with changes that helps us ultimately get the best out of every changes we experience.
Firstly, we need to see the change as a learning opportunity.
Irrespective of the change or its resultant circumstances, we should try and identify what we can learn from it. It might seem like a very big change today but when you learn from it, you are able to leap ahead whenever a similar situation arise.
We also need to develop resilience.
according to Harold Cohen, Ph.D. from Psych Central, " When faced with a tragedy, natural disaster, health concern, relationship, work, or school problem, resilience is how well a person can adapt to the events in their life. A person with good resilience has the ability to bounce back more quickly and with less stress than someone whose resilience is less developed"
We need to learn how to stay positive and bounce back in the face of the challenging situation. This will have a positive effect on us and help us become better.
Lastly, we should adapt to the changing circumstance. As easy as it may sound, adapting to changes in life is not very easy. We go through several emotions that try to disrupt optimal performance but being able to adapt during such times goes a long way in helping us become better.
